About The Position
As a Security Officer Corporate Campus Patrol in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouse areas, trailer lots, loading and unloading zones, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and help confirm that only authorized personnel, visitors, and/or delivery drivers enter restricted areas in accordance with site policies.
- Support daily operations at a logistics and distribution location by observing for operational disruptions, checking gates and entrances, and communicating clearly with site personnel regarding security-related issues.
