About The Position

As a Security Officer Corporate Access Control in Tempe, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal at a front desk post in a financial institution location, where you will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor activity, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. This is a driving requisition. Requirements

  • Possess 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3+ years of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a front desk post at a financial institution location.
  • Monitor access to the lobby and reception area, verify visitor credentials, issue visitor badges, and help to document arrivals, departures, and/or deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and help to communicate with site contacts, employees, visitors, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Support front desk operations by answering questions, providing directions, maintaining awareness of the entrance area, and reporting security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
