As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will assist guests and team members with courteous service, clear communication, and prompt reporting of concerns. Working with an agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will support a caring, people-first culture while acting with integrity every day.

Requirements

Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card/license is preferred.
CPR Certification is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail location.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the store interior, exterior, parking areas and perimeter, documenting observations per site guidelines.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disruptive persons, alarms and property damage.
Help to deter theft, loitering and other policy violations through visible presence, observation and timely reporting to Allied Universal leadership and/or site management.
Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate with store staff and/or responding emergency services as needed.
