As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce incidents, and document observations and activities. You will support access control, respond to alarms and service calls, and communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response guidelines as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of utility property, including gates, fence lines, parking areas, and operational buildings to help to identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or unsecured areas.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and communications systems when assigned, and report irregular conditions to site contacts and/or emergency services per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with evacuations, accountability, and/or access restrictions as directed by site procedures.
  • Complete shift logs and incident reports, document patrol findings, and communicate observations to oncoming officers and site leadership to support continuity of operations.
