Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and emergency response actions at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting relevant details to appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verifying credentials and/or permissions in accordance with location policies and post instructions.
  • Support public-facing operations by offering directions, answering general questions, and reporting maintenance, hazards, and/or security-related concerns to site contacts.
