Security Officer - Commercial Site Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Commercial Site Patrol in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet tenants and visitors, respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with site contacts. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property management by following post orders, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to alarms, suspicious activity, disturbances, and/or other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, and contact property management and/or public emergency services when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of lobbies, common areas, parking areas, loading areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Control access by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials when required, directing visitors to proper destinations, and/or assisting with key and badge control per site procedures.
- Complete detailed reports and daily activity logs, document incidents and maintenance concerns, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
