Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling a commercial real estate location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A guard card or security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry within commercial real estate locations.
  • Verify identification of individuals entering the premises and maintain visitor logs as required by site-specific policies.
  • Provide customer service by addressing questions and/or concerns from tenants, visitors, and contractors in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the building and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Report any observed irregularities, security-related hazards, or unusual activity to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client contacts.
  • Support emergency response activities as needed, including assisting with evacuations and following site-specific emergency protocols.
  • Complete detailed, accurate reports and documentation of daily activities and incidents as required by site procedures.
