You will complete routine foot patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. You will document observations, assist with access control, and partner with site teams to keep operations running smoothly, reflecting our agile, reliable, and innovative approach and our people-first culture.
Requirements
- Have 1+ years' law enforcement experience OR 2+ years' security supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years' security experience.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, employees, contractors, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a commercial real estate setting.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including lobbies, corridors, stairwells, loading docks, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor access points and common areas, observe for unusual conditions, and report maintenance concerns such as lighting outages, unsecured doors, and/or hazards to the appropriate contact.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with medical calls, fire alarms, and/or building evacuations as directed by site procedures.
- Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate updates to site management and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
