About The Position

As a Security Officer - TWIC Credential Screener in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support screening and access procedures while providing clear, professional customer service. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce incidents, and communicate concerns promptly to site leadership. Requirements

• Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a utilities location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen and verify identification, credentials, and delivery documentation prior to granting access, following post orders and site requirements.
• Control entry and exit points, issue and collect visitor badges, and direct visitors, contractors, and drivers to appropriate check-in locations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify appropriate contacts per escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around operational areas and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
