Join Allied Universal at a busy marine terminal location where you will manage access control and help keep operations running smoothly. You will greet drivers, contractors, and staff, verify credentials, issue and track badges, and maintain clear entry logs. You will also conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicate issues promptly while delivering customer service with integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

• A TSA Issued TWIC is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Operate an access control post by verifying identification and credentials, managing visitor and contractor check-in and check-out, issuing temporary badges when authorized, and maintaining accurate logs.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian entry points by checking deliveries, appointments, and work authorizations, and reporting suspicious activity to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or emergency services per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including gate lanes, dock approaches, and perimeter areas, while documenting observations and reporting maintenance or security-related concerns.
