As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol common areas, conduct routine rounds, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support tenants, visitors, and staff with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations and report concerns as needed, while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, people-first, and guided by integrity.

Requirements

• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, residents, visitors, contractors and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting on-site management and/or public emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial property, including office, retail and common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations as assigned.
• Monitor access points and common areas, help to deter unauthorized entry and/or activity, and support property rules compliance through professional presence and communication.
• Complete detailed reports on incidents, patrol observations, maintenance concerns and/or policy violations, and communicate key information during shift handoff.
