Job Description As a Security Officer - Commercial Access Control in Sun Valley, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor entrances, manage badge access, and conduct routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. Your presence and communication skills will help create a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the commercial real estate location.
- Monitor and control access to the premises, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized individuals only.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Document and report any unusual observations, incidents, or security-related issues according to Allied Universal guidelines.
- Assist visitors and tenants with directions and information, maintaining a professional and helpful presence.
- Collaborate with property management and/or law enforcement as needed, communicating relevant information in a timely manner.
