As a Security Officer - College Campus in Minneapolis, MN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

Must be 21+ years of age and must have a valid driver's license
Minimum 1 year or more of Security experience required
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus, including buildings and perimeter areas, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
Monitor the premises for unusual activity and/or potential hazards, reporting findings according to site procedures.
Communicate clearly and professionally with students, staff, and visitors, offering assistance and information when requested.
Document incidents and observations in detailed reports, submitting them as required by Allied Universal and site management.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary, following instructions from site leadership and Allied Universal protocols.
Remain alert and prepared to respond to various situations that may arise within an educational environment.
