Job Description As a Security Officer - Clinic Perimeter Patrol in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will monitor assigned areas, support access points, respond to calls for assistance, and provide clear, respectful communication to patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing assistance with de-escalation and coordinating with site leadership and/or local emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow as assigned, verify identification and/or authorization when required, and report access concerns per site procedures.
  • Document and report observations, incidents, and hazards using required reports and communication channels, and support Allied Universal and site leadership with follow-up as directed.
