About The Position

As a Security Officer Clearance Required in Santa Monica, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, you will complete routine patrols and vehicle checks, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist staff and guests with clear, respectful communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least 1 year of security experience is required.
  • An active DoD Secret clearance is required.
  • Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, residents, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a shelter location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points, observe visitor and resident activity, and verify authorization and/or credentials in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts, documenting observations, and coordinating with site leadership and local responders when needed.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift turnovers using Allied Universal and site reporting requirements, and communicate timely updates to supervision and site contacts.
