Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will be responsible for conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence at a government location. Your duties will include monitoring assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents, assisting visitors, and providing excellent customer service. This is a driving post, so you will spend much of your shift on patrol in a vehicle, supporting a secure environment through teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
State, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Guard card or license is preferred.
This is primarily a driving post.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual conditions.
Document observations and incidents according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Communicate professionally with visitors, staff, and emergency responders as required.
Follow all instructions and guidelines provided by Allied Universal and the client for the government location.
