As an unarmed patrol officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, supporting access control, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter, including chemical and petrochemical areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or unusual occurrences according to site procedures.
Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergency response activities, including evacuations and/or containment as required by site protocols.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues and provide assistance to employees, contractors, and visitors as needed.
