About The Position

As a Security Officer - Chemical Plant Patrol in Ville Platte, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with personnel, and provide excellent customer service. Requirements

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of the site.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including the business areas and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor for any unusual activity or hazards specific to chemical and petrochemical environments, reporting concerns promptly.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and observations as required by site policies.
  • Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and/or contractors, providing assistance as needed while upholding site protocols.
  • Support Allied Universal and client management by reporting security-related concerns and following up on assignments as directed.
