Job Description As a Security Officer - Chemical Patrol Specialist in La Porte, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a chemical or petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding to emergencies as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for chemical and petrochemical environments.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including business areas and the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
Observe and report any irregularities such as equipment or property damage, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences within the facility.
Document all activities, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders as needed to address incidents involving hazardous materials or other critical situations.
Remain alert and attentive to the unique challenges present within a chemical and petrochemical setting, adapting to changing site conditions as required.
