As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location to help to deter security-related incidents. Your visible presence and routine patrols support a secure environment, while your strong communication skills and customer service mindset help foster positive interactions. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, including both business areas and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and observe activities within the location to support a secure environment.
Document and report any unusual incidents, hazards, or suspicious behavior observed during patrols.
Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management to address security-related concerns specific to the chemical or petrochemical environment.
Follow all protocols for handling emergencies or hazardous situations that may arise within the location.
