As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a chemical and petrochemical location, you will manage access control at entry points, verify credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and vehicle logs. You will conduct routine patrols and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, while communicating clearly with site teams and guests. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and access control requirements at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
- Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobby points by checking identification, issuing and collecting badges, managing visitor and contractor logs, and directing deliveries and pickups to approved areas.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and supporting emergency response activities per post orders.
- Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems, document security-related activity in daily reports, and escalate unusual conditions per site protocol.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas around buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points when required by the post assignment, with working environments and conditions that may vary by location.
