As a Security Officer - Chemical Facility Patrols in Wilmington, DE , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol chemical and petrochemical locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and deliver outstanding customer service through clear communication. This is a driving position, offering the opportunity to be an integral part of a dedicated team that values agility, reliability, and integrity while putting people first.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including responding appropriately to emergencies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, helping to deter unwanted activity within the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter, observing for any unusual conditions or unauthorized individuals.
  • Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management and/or site staff regarding incidents, emergencies, or maintenance issues.
  • Document and report incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as required by site procedures, including chemical or petrochemical specific protocols.
