As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical or petrochemical location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, remaining visible, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, with attention to the unique needs of a chemical and petrochemical environment.
  • Document and report observations, incidents, or suspicious activity according to Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and local authorities as required to support security-related operations at the location.
