About The Position

As a Security Officer - Chemical Facility Patrol Driver in Lemont, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and provide a visible presence. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the chemical or petrochemical location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor for unusual activity or potential hazards within the facility and report findings as required.
Assist with access control by verifying credentials of individuals entering or exiting the location.
Communicate clearly and professionally with site staff, visitors, and Allied Universal team members regarding security-related matters.
Follow all site-specific protocols and instructions provided by Allied Universal and site management.
