As an Allied Universal Security Officer specializing in access control at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas within the chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises, following site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors and employees with access-related inquiries and directing them as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and site guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to observe for unusual conditions or activities.
  • Maintain detailed logs and reports of access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by site procedures.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders during emergency response activities, adhering to established protocols.
