As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with access control procedures by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and observe for any unusual conditions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols for chemical or petrochemical environments.
  • Provide customer service by interacting professionally with employees, visitors, and contractors, addressing inquiries and directing individuals as appropriate.
  • Monitor security-related systems such as cameras and alarms to support site security protocols.
  • Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed by site management and Allied Universal protocols.
