Job Description As a Security Officer - Chemical Access Control in Houston, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment at a chemical and petrochemical location. Your responsibilities include monitoring and controlling access points, conducting routine patrols, and providing outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the chemical or petrochemical facility, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors.
  • Assist in carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies to help maintain a secure environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Provide customer service by assisting individuals with directions, information, and addressing inquiries related to access control.
  • Document security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by site procedures.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management to report and address any security-related concerns or hazards identified during patrols or access control duties.
