Job Description As a Security Officer - Chemical Access Control in Houston, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment at a chemical and petrochemical location. Your responsibilities include monitoring and controlling access points, conducting routine patrols, and providing outstanding customer service. Requirements

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the chemical or petrochemical facility, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors.
Assist in carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies to help maintain a secure environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Provide customer service by assisting individuals with directions, information, and addressing inquiries related to access control.
Document security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by site procedures.
Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management to report and address any security-related concerns or hazards identified during patrols or access control duties.
