About The Position

As a Security Officer Checkpoint Driver in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor entry activity, conduct screening procedures, and support security-related operations through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, which is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen people, packages, and/or property entering or leaving the location in support of security-related policies and shipping and receiving operations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, screening areas, loading zones, and perimeter as assigned, noting conditions that could help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Verify credentials, maintain accurate screening and incident records, and communicate with site contacts regarding access concerns, delivery activity, and/or policy questions.
