As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a cultural institution, you will monitor galleries and public spaces, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents while delivering welcoming customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, so you may support multiple areas across the location. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or parishioners by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor entry points during services, tours, and/or special events, checking credentials when required, directing foot traffic, and reporting access control issues to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, medical situations, disturbances, and/or property concerns, and coordinate with public responders as directed.
• Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate observed maintenance issues, hazards, and/or security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and site contacts.
