Job Description As a Security Officer - CCTV Command Center in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with calm, professional communication. You will support a welcoming environment through customer service and clear reporting, while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity and a people-first culture.

Requirements

  • A New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of security experience is required.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access control points, alarms, and CCTV systems where assigned, documenting unusual activity and reporting concerns through established channels.
  • Complete shift reports and incident documentation, communicate key information during post handoffs, and support audits or compliance-related checks as directed by site policy.
