As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an education campus location, you will monitor and patrol buildings, grounds, and common areas, completing routine rounds and reporting security-related concerns. You will remain highly visible to help to deter incidents, assist students, faculty, and visitors with directions and support, and communicate clearly with your team while acting with integrity. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, residence halls exteriors, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor and control access at designated points, checking identification and/or authorizations as required, and direct visitors to appropriate campus resources.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, and coordinate with campus staff and/or public emergency services when needed.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, patrol findings, and policy violations, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
