About The Position

As a Security Officer Campus Patrols in Saint Petersburg, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal at a respected cultural institution, where you will monitor and patrol galleries and surrounding areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and assist visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. In this unarmed role, you will support a welcoming location through teamwork, integrity, and a caring approach while contributing to daily operations with agility and reliability.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and emergency response activities appropriate for a cultural institution location.
  • Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and/or unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related issues according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, exhibit areas, lobbies, entrances, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor public areas and restricted spaces for policy compliance, assist with directional support, and help to preserve an orderly environment during daily operations and special events.
  • Support emergency and evacuation procedures when appropriate, communicate with site contacts and/or first responders, and follow Allied Universal reporting requirements for incidents and key observations.
