As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a residential location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with calm, professional communication. You will document observations, report maintenance or access concerns, and support residents, guests, and staff with a customer-service mindset. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of residential buildings, common areas, amenities, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Control access at gates, lobbies, and parking areas by verifying credentials, monitoring visitor entry, and directing deliveries and service providers per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating disputes and contacting property management and/or emergency services as needed.
• Complete detailed reports on patrol observations, access activity, incidents, and policy violations, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
