Job Description As a Security Officer Campus Patrol Driver in Lumberton, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal in a government location as an armed, driving patrol officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report unusual behavior, hazards, and/or security-related concerns to site leadership and appropriate public sector contacts.
• Support emergency and post-order activities by following armed post instructions, communicating clearly by radio and/or phone, and assisting with security-related response protocols as directed.
