As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with courteous service. You will monitor assigned areas, respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with your team. Requirements
- Have a minimum of 6 months of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, classrooms, parking areas, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by post.
- Monitor access points and common areas, help to deter unauthorized entry, and assist with visitor direction and basic access control processes.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and coordination with campus contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
- Document shift activity, patrol observations, and incident details in written reports; communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
