About The Position

As a Security Officer - Campus Entry Receptionist in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

  • Must have 2 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk of the location.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering and/or exiting the facility.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter unauthorized activity and provide assistance as needed.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual occurrences, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with visitor management, including issuing badges and maintaining visitor logs as required.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, such as guiding individuals during evacuations or lockdowns.
  • Communicate professionally with students, faculty, staff, and visitors, addressing inquiries and providing directions or information as needed.
