About The Position

As a Security Officer - Building Reception Desk in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will welcome staff and visitors, manage access control and badging, verify credentials, monitor cameras and alarms, and document security-related activity with clear communication. You will be a steady, customer-focused presence who helps support a professional environment, responding to concerns with teamwork, integrity, and care while staying agile, reliable, and innovative.

Requirements

  • Have 1+ years' law enforcement experience OR 2+ years' security supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years' security experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the front desk by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Greet, screen, and direct visitors, patients, and vendors in a healthcare location, including verifying identification, managing sign-in processes, and issuing temporary access credentials when applicable.
  • Monitor lobby activity and access points from a stationary post, help to deter unauthorized entry, and report suspicious activity or policy violations per site guidelines.
  • Answer phones and respond to requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating incidents and critical situations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain accurate logs and reports of visitor activity, deliveries, incidents, and communications, and coordinate with onsite staff and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
