As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, observe site activity, and communicate clearly while delivering customer-focused service. Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, unauthorized access concerns and/or suspicious activity.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, operational areas, parking areas and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points and controlled areas, verify credentials as directed by post orders and assist with visitor processing and/or contractor check-in.
• Complete shift logs, patrol documentation and incident reports with clear, timely details and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts.
