Job Description As a Security Officer - Building Entry Desk in Washington, DC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will greet visitors, verify access, manage badges and logs, and monitor entry points and cameras while providing a welcoming, customer-focused presence. You will respond to questions and security-related concerns, communicate clearly with staff, and help to deter incidents through visibility and professionalism. At Allied Universal, you will bring integrity, teamwork, and an agile, reliable approach to every shift.

Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Greet and screen visitors, verify identification and/or appointments, issue visitor credentials, and direct guests to the appropriate location in accordance with facility procedures.
  • Monitor access control systems, alarms, and camera views as assigned, and document unusual activity and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Complete required reports and logs, maintain shift documentation, and communicate key information during post hand-off to help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptions.
