Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting an education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will interact with students, staff, and visitors, provide clear communication, and document observations while responding to concerns with professionalism. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to alarms, calls for service, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate updates to appropriate campus contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking lots, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and public areas, help to identify policy violations, and provide directions and assistance to support orderly movement throughout the campus environment.
• Complete detailed activity reports and incident documentation, and assist with preserving observations and information for follow-up by campus partners and/or law enforcement as needed.
