About The Position

As a Security Officer - Education Patrol Lead in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
Respond to incidents and critical situations within the location in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with security-related matters as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including buildings and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and support a secure environment.
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unwanted behavior and report any suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
Assist with access control by verifying identification and/or credentials as required by site-specific protocols.
Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
Support campus operations by providing information and assistance to students, staff, and visitors as needed.
