About The Position

As a Security Officer Bike Patrol Driver in Chicago, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech location as an unarmed patrol officer in a driving post. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas by vehicle and on bike, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be able to ride a bike.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a technology-focused location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant details with site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervisors.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, offices, common areas, parking locations, and perimeter points to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site protocols, helping to support authorized entry, credential checks, and/or directional assistance for guests and staff.
Support site operations by reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations, while maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized activity.
