As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an education location, you will monitor and patrol campus areas, maintain a high-visibility presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor entry. You will engage with students, staff, and guests through clear communication, timely reporting, and helpful customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and other security-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations on campus in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, walkways, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or operational concerns.
• Monitor alarms, doors, and entry points; observe and report suspicious behavior, unsecured areas, and policy violations according to post orders.
• Complete patrol logs and incident reports, communicate key information to supervisors and/or site stakeholders, and assist with security-related escorts and directions when requested.
