About The Position

As a Security Officer - Bank Entrance Watch in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. You will support access control, assist with badge processes, and use computer or tablet tools to document activity and communicate clearly. Requirements

  • A minimum of 1+ years of security experience is required.
  • A college degree is required.
  • Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a financial services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site management and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual behavior, escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
  • Complete reports and logs related to incidents, patrol activity and policy exceptions, using required written and/or electronic systems.
