As an Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, issue and track badges, and monitor activity to support a smooth, security-related operation. You will complete routine patrols, stay highly visible, document incidents, and communicate clearly with employees, drivers, and visitors. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security experience is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to on-site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Control access at gates, entrances, and restricted areas by checking identification and/or credentials, managing badge processes, and maintaining visitor and contractor logs.
  • Monitor incoming and outgoing vehicle and foot traffic, coordinate with shipping and receiving as needed, and report suspicious or unauthorized activity to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting events, and assisting first responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access, identify hazards, and report maintenance or operational concerns.
