You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, manage entry points, verify badges and credentials, and help maintain smooth visitor and employee flow. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution facility.
  • Control access at employee, visitor, and vendor entry points by checking identification, issuing temporary badges, maintaining access logs, and directing traffic flow for pedestrians and vehicles.
  • Support gate operations by verifying delivery appointments, driver credentials, and shipment documentation, and coordinating with site contacts for dock access, trailer drop, and yard entry and/or exit.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events, escalating concerns through the chain of command, and assisting with post-incident reporting.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, parking lots, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
