About The Position

As a Security Officer Badge Verification Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, and support daily site operations with strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Candidates must have 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years of security experience.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at access points.
  • Monitor entry and exit locations, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas within the location.
  • Screen visitors, vehicles, deliveries, and/or materials in accordance with site protocols, and maintain accurate access records, logs, and incident documentation.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or emergency personnel.
  • Support daily access control operations by assisting with badge issuance, visitor processing, key and/or credential accountability, and reported security-related concerns.
