About The Position

As a Security Officer Badge Screening in Theodore, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, screening protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and delivery documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, yards, docks, and/or operational spaces.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, damaged barriers, and/or conditions that could impact daily operations.
  • Support traffic flow at gates and access points by directing incoming and outgoing vehicles, maintaining visitor logs, and following post orders related to trailers, packages, and/or shipment movement.
