About The Position

As a Security Officer - Badge Enrollment in Northampton, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor and vehicle check-ins, and conduct routine patrols to help support a secure environment. You will remain visible, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver standout customer service through clear communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access at entry points by checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs and verifying authorized access for employees, vendors and/or delivery drivers.
• Coordinate with site personnel to manage inbound and outbound vehicle and trailer access, including verifying appointment information, directing traffic flow at gates and reporting irregular activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including docks, yard space and perimeter, and report conditions that may help to deter unauthorized entry and/or loss.
