As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will manage access control by greeting visitors, checking identification and badges, and supporting employee and vendor entry. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and document activity with clear communication. You will bring our agile, reliable, and innovative mindset, deliver through teamwork, and always act with integrity while putting people first.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and employees by following Allied Universal protocols, site-specific policies, and access control procedures for an industrial location.
  • Control entry and exit at assigned doors and/or vehicle gates by checking identification, issuing temporary badges, managing visitor logs, and directing deliveries to designated areas.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity, and communicate concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including activating emergency response activities when appropriate and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the perimeter, reporting hazards, unusual activity, and policy violations per post orders.
